DiKon - Digital Convergens
DiKon’s member organisations have a common mission that is the focal point for all activities and publications that are developed by DiKon – Digital Convergence.
“DiKon’s mission is to develop and contribute to the digital basis for value-creating processes at the member companies and the Danish construction industry as a whole”.
This mission statement shapes the publications that DiKon’s working group prepares and publishes for free use in the construction and infrastructure industry.
We develop the digital basis for value-creating processes
The digitalisation of the Danish construction and infrastructure industry has been underway for a long time. It is a journey that will continue to be driven by what characterises the construction and infrastructure industry in Denmark – competition, innovation and value creation.
This is precisely why there is a need to continuously develop, test and standardize the digital basis off the industry. As technological development opens up new opportunities, it is crucial that stakeholders have the opportunity to rely on comparable standards and tools. Thereby, we facilitate and streamline the technological development itself and foster the collaboration that is the catalyst in the Danish construction and infrastructure industry.
We contribute to the digital basis for value-creating processes
Through continuous development and publication of standardized publications and tools, DiKon contributes to the value creation that takes place in the construction and infrastructure industry on a daily basis. By standardizing the basis for digital collaboration internally in companies and across the industry, collaboration and the processes that drive construction projects in Denmark are facilitated.
DiKon contributes to the digital basis through continuous publication of, for example, Building Part Specifications, Delivery Specifications, LCA Guides, Scan to BIM Standards, as well as publications with standardized structuring of tender materials.
DiKon develops digital standards free of use
The benefits generated by effective collaborations, standardised publications and value-creating processes leads to a competitive construction and infrastructure industry. However, there is no single company in Denmark that alone can guarantee this gain. Growth driven by digitalization takes place through collaboration and requires that each company continuously raises their digital capabilities. This is precisely why some of the most prominent organisations in the Danish construction and infrastructure industry are active members of DiKon. And therefore, it is also an integral part of DiKons mission to strengthen the digital basis for value-creating processes by making DiKon’s publications available to the rest of the Danish construction and infrastructure industry.
